Comments:
This target has very high relative reflectivity with no associated geology around it. It is not natural. It is approximately 18.8 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. The Electra’s wingspan is 16.8 meters and it is 11.8 meters long. The target is close in size but not quite wide enough as it is oriented on the sonar record. The image could be stretched like the 55 gallon drum. We do not anticipate definitive shape characteristics or definition at this range scale. This target shows promise even though it is smaller than expected. There are 2 additional small targets around 1700 meters to the North that could be associated debris.
